Karwa Chauth is the celebration of the beautiful bond of marriage which is shared by husband and wife. On this day married women fast for the whole day for the well-being and long life of their husbands. Married women do not drink or eat anything and offer prayers to lord shiva. They bring their fast to an end only after moonrise when they drink water from the hands of their husbands.This is how the holy festival of Karwa Chauth is celebrated with utmost excitement and devotion all over India.
